Squirrel Buster Suet Feeder
Product Description
Birds can access the suet cakes and the crumbs that fall to the crumb tray, but when a squirrel climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically forces the wire mesh down, closing access to the suet blocks and the crumb port. This action is weight adjustable to also help control unwanted large birds. The suet cakes are easily loaded without handing them. Just pop the cakes out of their plastic liner and into the open feeder tray. All components are UV-stabilized.
Remember it's the squirrel's weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a nearby foothold and avoid placing weight on the feeder, then the squirrel will have access to the seed ports! Allow for at least 18 inches of clearance around the feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb or jump onto the feeder, thus triggering the closing mechanism.
